Wang Qingsheng, the general manager of the company, said with a smile, "They are urging us to supply the goods urgently, but the factory simply cannot keep up with the production demand!"

Zhejiang Shuangkai Company is a private enterprise that has grown alongside the development of the domestic automotive air conditioning industry, with a 15-year history of producing automotive air conditioning systems. It mainly focuses on the research, development, and production of the "two major components" in automotive air conditioning: evaporators and condensers. As the enterprise has developed, it can now produce over 1,000 varieties of automotive air conditioning evaporators and condensers. Its products are sold to more than 30 countries and regions in America, Europe, and Asia, and have been installed in 23 famous car models including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Ford, and Dodge, as well as over 50 domestic car models.

"The two main trends in the development of automotive air conditioning are that they need to be smaller in size and provide better performance. Among domestic automotive air conditioning manufacturers, we have always been at the forefront in terms of technology, and the fourth-generation evaporator we have successfully developed has just been put into production," said Jiang Shuxian, the technical department manager of the company, holding up a product that is only 38mm thick and the size of a sheet of A4 paper. This new product is 42mm thinner than the third-generation evaporator, yet its performance is even better than that of a 3HP cabinet air conditioner. In Japan, a developed country in the automotive industry, the fourth-generation evaporator has only just started to be used."

To master international advanced technology, Shuangkai Company first humbly learned from foreign companies, especially Japanese automotive air conditioning manufacturers, and then absorbed and assimilated the technology. Wang Qingsheng said, "The domestic automotive air conditioning industry developed relatively late. We cannot grope blindly with our eyes closed. We must utilize international advanced technology and enhance and improve it, breaking down technical barriers, and ultimately taking the lead to possess our own intellectual property rights." Under this guiding principle, the company has broken through one new technology and developed one new product every year since 2001. To date, it has developed four new products, including laminated evaporators, supercooled tube condensers, and oil-cooled parallel flow condensers. Additionally, it has just completed the standardization of over 600 connectors for air conditioning evaporators, filling five domestic gaps.

"While our technology can compete with international advanced levels, it is not easy for our products to reach international standards as well," said Jiang Shuxian. The company overcame numerous difficulties in terms of talent, equipment, and raw materials. In the absence of relevant talent domestically, the enterprise cultivated its own technical backbone. When there was no supply of automotive air conditioning production equipment, they built the machines themselves. Due to differences in domestic raw materials compared to international ones, they conducted hundreds of experiments before finally obtaining the optimal technical parameters.

With technology and product performance that are comparable to international corporations, but with prices much lower than those of foreign companies, the automotive air conditioning products produced by "Shuangkai" have been welcomed by the international market. Last year, the company exported a total of 600,000 automotive air conditioning evaporators and condensers, with output value exceeding 100 million yuan for the first time.
